We moved to our first (rented) house last month. The most exciting part (for me at least) is that there is a basement, I will finally have a studio space all to myself!

The Berkeley Knitters all headed out to Meridian Jacobs Farm for another Shearing Day.

Will took a week off and went to Hawaii and he brought me back this fun sampler quilt kit as well as a very cute turtle pincushion.

There has been lots more but sadly the good camera died and my old digital eats batteries in about 10 min so all I have in the way of a camera is my phone which is less then ideal, but I will try to photograph stuff as I can and hopefully we will get the good camera fixed soon (hurray for warranties!)

This weekend we went out to the Berkeley Kite Festival, it was quite a site! I took lots of photos that you can check out on my flickr.

Lots of things to blog about but right now all my mojo has been going into healing up the holes in my head. Almost human again but not quite.

I don’t know if I have ever been in a place with so many talented, crafty, DIYers in one place before in my life. There was even more stuff that we just didn’t manage to see and we can’t wait to go back next year.  I think the botton above by Sean says it all. For more pictures click the mosaic.

Some color for a Monday, these are the other tie-dyed shirts that we wore to the Whole Earth Festival.

We started with the first cherries of the season at the farmer’s market.  We bought a big bag and munched on them all day in the warm sun.

There was music and dancing on the quad, we crashed on a blanket and ate more cherries and shared Carrie’s garlic fries.

There were booths with clothes of all kinds of patterns and fabrics and colors.

This next Saturday is the Whole Earth Festival at UC Davis. It is a giant low impact festival with lots of craft vendors, live music, vegetarian food, drum circles, solar panels, improvisational dancing, and it is lots of fun; a mini Woodstock if you will. Of course there will be lots of tie-dye being sold and worn so of course we had to make some of our own to wear! But just to drive Libby a little crazy, I won’t post finished pics just yet. In order to use up all the dye we also did a bunch of low immersion samples. Looks for pictures of those coming soon!

And then he said it all-

Help! I need soft food ideas, quick! I am 95% sure my wisdom tooth is impacted and they are going to pull it out tomorrow. Any ideas besides yogurt, juice, and soup? Any great widsom teeth stories? The last time I had a tooth out I was about 9-10 years old and all I remember was ice cream dribbling down my numb face (thankfully there are no pictures). Maybe I should just live at Jamba Juice.
