Some Past Projects

Here are a few of my past projects, I have a lot more but no pictures…will have to have a photoshot when I get back to California.

This is the penguin I knit for my young cousin Ela, who was seven at the time. I used the pattern Pasha from Knitty using Brown Sheep’s Lamb’s Pride Worsted yarn and K1C2’s Sprinkle yarn in black; so (in person at least) he looks shimmery like he just flooped out of the water onto an iceberg.

This is a registration screenprint I did of what was supposed to be a Japanese Rooster, but the colors came out MUCH brighter then they looked when I mixed them…the joys of pigment.

This is me taking my Weaving Final off the loom. It is an Undulating Twill done on 8 harnesses in hand-dyed (I did the dyeing) silk for the warp (the pink yarn) and a wool/silk blend for the weft (the blue). It took me two days to tie up the loom and another two to get the weaving done. It was supposed to get made into a skirt but my teacher said I was good to go without sewing it up, which made me happy because after all that work I didn’t want to cut it!

Evening Gown; I draped the pattern and patchworked the fabric from three different prints.
